Video: Michigan residents denounce DTE Energy’s “Customer Assistance Day”

As thousands of Detroit-area residents waited in long lines to apply for help with energy bills at the Cobo hall event, WSWS reporters spoke to some of those in attendance about their circumstances. While the federal home heating aid fund is being slashed this winter, many of those seeking help from energy company DTE found that the “Customer Assistance Day” event provided no help at all.
